Course Structure
PlantARE is a Planting Design and Landscaping package that has been developed over a number of years, and this course introduces the student to the essential aspects of the application. It assumes that the user has a reasonable knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD. This is normally a two day course indicating which items are shown on the 1st and 2nd days.
Section 1: Product Overview
This section explains the overall product, the floating menu, the ability to minimize and add toolbars etc. It also explains the construction of PlantARE (3 modules: Base, Planting Plan and Design and the purpose of each module) together with folder structure, layout, libraries etc.
N.B. ACAD LT users: additional 'Image' pulldown menu, allows the insertion of graphics.
Section 2: Set-Up
This section takes the user through the Planting Plan, set-up and explains how to set-up the consistency, currency, depiction etc. Explanation of the default layers for labels, legends etc. is also given. The user is then introduced to Plantus, VAT etc.
